Customise the footer
Newsletter signup, brand block, four menu columns, social icons, copyright line and block ordering.
Before you start
- Footer menus created in Content → Menus, for example Shop, Help and Company.
- Social links added in Theme settings → Social media.
- Store policies filled in at Settings → Policies.

Open the footer section

The footer lives in the Footer group at the bottom of the sidebar and is shared by every page.

Write the newsletter signup
The top of the footer is an email signup. Subscribers are saved to Customers in your Shopify admin.

Fill in the brand block
Set Brand name, Brand tagline and Brand text. This sits beside the menus with your social icons underneath.

Connect the four menu columns

Each column has a heading and a menu. Set Menu 1 heading to Menu 4 heading, and choose a Shopify menu for Menu 1 to Menu 4. A column with no menu selected stays empty.

Set the copyright line
Copyright line is the text at the very bottom. Your policy links come from Settings → Policies in your Shopify admin and appear alongside it.

Reorder or hide parts of the footer

Add one block per footer part, choose the Item, then drag the blocks into order. Use Device to show a part on desktop only or mobile only, or Hide this item to remove it.

Set the footer colours and brand word
CM Footer
The footer has its own three-colour palette and an optional large brand word along the bottom.

Style the footer
Open the CM customise group to set the footer's background, heading and text colours, button colours, padding and corner radius.
